Trivent Safety Consulting, Westminster, Colo., previously approved by the Steel Erectors Association of America as a SEAA/NCCER Ironworker Training Unit and Assessment Site, now also has a registered ironworker apprenticeship program.
The company utilized the SEAA Ironworker Apprenticeship program template, which meets the U.S.
Department of Labor, Employment, and Training Administration guidelines for apprenticeship standards. “As the group administrator for the structural steel ironworker apprenticeship, we are able to share our resources with other area erectors. Currently, more than 20 apprentices from High Plains Steel Services LLC, Windsor, Colo., and Flawless Steel Welding LLC, Denver, which are also members of SEAA, are enrolled in classes,” said Bryan McClure, Owner.
“SEAA/NCCER Ironworker Training and Apprenticeship ensures that ironworkers have the skills and
knowledge necessary to be safe on the jobsite, competitive in the workplace, and satisfied in their careers,” said McClure.
“As an NCCER Accredited Training Sponsor, SEAA helps member companies to position themselves for reduced exposure and improved productivity,” said Tom Underhill, SEAA Executive Director. Recently, both High Plains Steel Services and Flawless Steel Welding received awards for improvements to their safety records based on evaluations of their EMR ratings, OSHA 300A statistics, and safety program processes over the last three years.
Trivent Safety, employing certified safety consultants, provides full service training solutions, including program development and delivery, as well as train-the-trainer curriculum and site safety inspections. Courses include crane and rigging, hazardous material, steel erection, fall protection, and more.
